Title: Basket of Victorian Roses
by Paul de Longpre

This outstanding print showcases a basket tipped to overflowing with freshly-gathered American Beauty Roses. Long before roses were hybridized, the American Beauty rose was actually a deep pink rose as shown. In Victorian times, the pink rose symbolized that the bearer was "An Ambassador of Love". Do notice that this print has the WHOLE BASKET shown, unlike other vendor prints that show just a partial basket. This print measures aprox 9 7/8 x 16.5 inches, ready to frame.
