Title: c1896 Study of Violets Yard Long Print Mary Hart

Description: Antique Mary Hart Violets Yard Long Print. Mary Hart was called Tthe Violet Artist. Printed in 1896, it is a lovely casual grouping of both purple and white double violets. There is a ribboned violets nosegay at the center, and a vase holding more blooms. The artwork is superbly executed, signed lower right. The colors are as bright as the day it was printed. The print was made for the Art Interchange Magazine, a popular art magazine of the period. The print is a chromolithograph, and all the color layers align in perfect register. It is in very good condition without fading (please refer to the photos for condition). The far right edge has a very light roll mark, not distracting, but mentioned for accuracy.  This piece is housed in a gold painted wood frame that has burnished brass ribbon embellishments at each corner. Overall size is 10.25 x 36.5 inches, perfect for Mother's Day, or a birthday.
